Is He Ready For Commitment?

So you’ve been seeing a guy for a while now but he still has yet to ask if you want it to be official. You know he hasn’t been seeing anyone else and he does seem really into you. What gives? What signs should you look for to see if he’s ready for commitment?
If the guy you are dating just got out of a serious committed relationship before you started dating, you may be the first person he is seeing. He also might not be over his ex, so be careful how you tread these waters. Be prepared that you might just be the girl he is seeing to get over his ex and he is not looking for commitment.
Another sign to see whether or not he’s ready to commit to you is if he makes you a priority. Does he go out of his way to make sure to see you? Or does he fit you in when it seems convenient? If he can’t make time for you, then it’s very likely he’s not as interested as you think he is. Don’t try and rationalize his busy schedule. If he wants to see you he will make time for you.
When a guy introduces you to his close friends or family, then you know you mean something to him. It also means he may be ready for that long term relationship. If he’s always heads to social events without you by his side, it isn’t a mistake or a fluke. It means it’s not serious.
If you are still unsure about his readiness for commitment, it’s always best to sit down and talk to him about it. It never hurts to communicate what you’re thinking and feeling. It may also give him the chance to finally tell you how he feels. If he’s not ready, don’t hold out and think he will change. Especially if you want to have a serious relationship and he doesn’t. There are plenty of other fish in the sea and you just need to get one that is swimming the same path as you.
