You Can’t Be Too Private

You Can’t Be Too Private
No, I am not saying that you need to be as private as possible. In fact, I am saying just the opposite. Instead of keeping yourself, your life, your experience, your stories, and your living quarters FROM the person that you are dating, you should open up and include your boyfriend or girlfriend in your life, share your experience, share your stories, even share your living quarters! Please don’t exclude your girlfriend or boyfriend from your life! That is no way to get someone to fall in love with you. It is not even a way to become friends with someone.
Make yourself vulnerable. . .
Do you want a fabulous and lasting relationship? Do you want to become best friends with this person that you are dating? Then open yourself up. Only open yourself as much as you feel comfortable, of course. Still, let me just let you in on this secret: the more you open yourself up, the more you will be able to connect with the person that you are dating. Of course, the person that you are interested in has to open up to you, too.
A word of warning
Now, there is a fine line that you have to walk. If you are constantly running on about yourself, if you are showing no interested in your date, then they will very, very quickly get fed up with you. Also, your date will think that you are self-absorbed, selfish, and not at all who they want to spend the rest of their life with. So, don’t get sappy – not if you are a man, not if you are a woman. However, please do be open to sharing things when your date asks you a question, or if it just seems like the right moment. Are you talking over dinner and talking about your families? Don’t hold things back from your date.
Just to say again. . .
I want to say just one last time. . .sharing will bring you closer together!
