Sending someone you enjoy on a date during the fall season is one of my go-to summer date ideas . There are so many things to do together as a couple. The fall season offers a lot of fantastic outdoor activities and nature walks. Plus, it’s a great time to pick pumpkins while she waits at home with the hot chocolate
1. Go For A Hike
Sometimes, the best date ideas are the simplest ones. All you need is a good pair of hiking shoes and maybe a camera to capture some beautiful fall foliage. Cast your eyes around for some trails near you. If you’re in a city, you might be surprised to find that there are more options than you thought. There’s probably at least one great trail not far from where you live.
2. Do A Wine Tasting
Wineries often have special events in the fall to celebrate harvest. Get out of town, get a group together and go try some new wines!
3. Have A Picnic In The Park
What better way to enjoy the outdoors than with a picnic? Pack some sandwiches, snacks, and drinks for you and your significant other. Grab an old blanket or pick up a new one and find a nice spot in the park. Enjoy the scenic views while you eat your lunch.
4. Go For A Hayride
Fall is all about harvesting crops. Most farms offer hayrides during this season along with apple picking and other fun activities. Make sure to look around at different farms to see what they offer before you decide which one to go to.
5. Cuddle Up By The Fire
No matter where you live, there’s going to be a cool breeze at night during this time of year. Turn on your fireplace or light some candles for an extra cozy feel. Grab some blankets and cuddle up with your partner as you watch your favorite movie or TV show.
6. Cook Dinner Together
The summer heat can make it hard to turn on the oven and then eat a hot plate of food. But now that fall has come around, it’s a great time to cook dinner together.
Not only will you save money by not going out to eat, but it’s also an intimate activity that can help you and your partner bond. You’ll have time to talk to each other while cooking, and when you finally sit down at the table, you’ll have a home-cooked meal that tastes even better because of your company!
7. Go To The Pumpkin Patch
Heading to the local pumpkin patch is sure to be a memorable experience. You can pick out pumpkins together, then carve them when you get home. This is a great way to usher in the Halloween season and get into the spooky spirit. There are usually other seasonal activities available at pumpkin patches as well, such as hayrides, corn mazes and more!
8. Go Camping
The best thing about camping is that it’s a date that can last all weekend, which is ideal because there are so many things to do. You can create an obstacle course while hiking, you can build a campfire and make s’mores, you can star gaze and so much more. Plus, the memories will last forever.
9.See A Play.
A play is a fun date idea because it’s something different than just going out to dinner or seeing a movie. Plus, there are many different types of plays that you can choose from including comedy, drama and musicals, so you two will never be bored!
10. Go Out For Coffee
A simple date idea that’s sometimes overlooked is going out for coffee. It’s a great way to spend time together without spending too much money, or without doing something too extravagant. You can go to a local coffee shop and enjoy conversation over your favorite drink. Afterwards, you can head out for a walk or do some window shopping to get the most out of your date.
11. Attend a Fall Festival
Many towns host fairs or festivals during the fall months. At these events, you can sample local food, check out crafts from local artisans and listen to live music. This gives you an opportunity to share an experience with your partner while learning more about your community.
12. Attend a Football Game
Watching a football game is a fun fall activity and it can be an easy way to find something to do on the weekends. If you live in a college town you may have a few schools nearby that play on the weekend. If you are not interested in watching college sports, watch your favorite NFL team play on Sunday or Thursday nights.
If you need a little help deciding what to do on your next date, try putting together a few of these fun and unique fall dates. Whether you’re back in the dating game, or are looking for some new ideas for a first date, this list should have some solid suggestions for you. Regardless of your particular situation, now is the perfect time to start planning a few fun fall date nights!
