Here is a list of things men want in a wife. Sometimes we men don’t know how to put these things into words, but we all have the same thoughts. What do you think? Do these match your ideas on what men want in their wives?
1. Confidence
Confidence is the sexiest trait a woman can have, hands down. It’s the ability to be independent and comfortable in your own skin, without constantly seeking attention or approval. It’s not only attractive, it’s a quality that will help you get through life unscathed when things don’t go according to plan.
2. Independence
Being independent is important to men. They love a woman that can take care of herself. You don’t have to be rich, but you have to be able to hold your own. This is not about splitting the bill (although some may appreciate that); it’s about not being completely financially dependent on another person.
3. Honesty
If you’re married, there should be no secrets between you and your spouse. Although sometimes it may seem like a good idea to hide something from your husband—maybe it’s something embarrassing or possibly even something illegal—you should know that lying about it won’t make the situation any better. Your husband will find out eventually and when he does he’ll lose trust in you. You should be able to tell him anything without worrying about what he may think or how he may react.
4. Respect for her husband’s career
Husbands crave having a wife who is understanding of his career and supports him through the ups and downs. They also want a wife who is supportive of his personal goals and aspirations. When her husband knows she’s got his back, it makes for a more pleasant and harmonious household.
5. A better cook than he is
Men want someone who’s going to be able to take care of their needs — and that includes cooking for them. Men are notoriously bad cooks (at least in my experience), so if you can out-cook your man, you’ll have him eating out of the palm of your hand in no time.
6. Her own set of hobbies and interests
This is an important one. A girl who has her own set of hobbies and interests is someone who is self-reliant, someone who needs no one to make them happy or complete them. A girl like this will never be a burden on anyone because they already have their own world to live in. Men also feel that such women have a well-rounded personality and are more likely to be open-minded as well.
7. Patience
Many men are looking for a woman who has the virtue of patience. Patience is the ability to deal with the difficult times in a marriage. Let’s face it, marriages go through difficult times and if a woman does not have patience she can easily pack up and leave during these difficult times. Patience is also about having the ability to listen and be understanding toward her husband.
8. A Good Role Model
A good role model is someone that a man wants his future children to look up to. She is someone who he knows will be an example of morals, values, and even work ethic to their children. A man doesn’t want his children growing up without a positive role model in their lives; therefore, he’ll look for this quality in the women he dates.
9. A sense of humor
Let’s face it, women love to laugh. In fact, we couldn’t ask for anything more than finding a man who makes us feel like we’re on cloud nine whenever he’s around. The ladies are looking for someone who’ll make them smile and be able to poke fun at themselves every now and then. We want a guy who can have fun on our date and while spending time with our friends.
10. Reliable and Trustworthy.
The woman you marry should be someone who you can trust and depend on. You want to be with a woman who has your best interests at heart, and someone who will always have your back.
11.Someone Who Wants You for You.
The woman you choose to marry should love the real you – not some fake version of you that you put forward in order to impress her. She should know what makes you tick, what annoys you, what drives you crazy, and what makes you happy.
12.Respect his need for space.
If your husband wants space because he feels as though he is getting smothered in the relationship, give him plenty of breathing room. Let him know that you understand his need for space and try not to contact him or ask him questions about where he goes when he needs time away from home.
13. They Want Someone Who Has Their Own Life
Men want someone who has her own life and has interests outside of him. He does not want to be everything for you because he knows that he cannot be everything for you, himself. A man needs his freedom and needs to know that he can go out and do his own thing without worrying about you needing him all of the time. Men do not like clingy women and they especially do not like clingy women who have nothing better to do than be clingy to them!
Finally, we know that there are many things men want in marriage, thus we advocate talking more and listening, so that you can know what they want. If you already married then, it is not too late to understand your husband if in most cases your husband would share his expectation of marriage life and try to meet them regularly then when you understand your man well you can bond with him easily and avoid misunderstandings.
